I recently bought a "cheque book" wallet for $1 from Vinnies (the kind that holds a cheque book) and made up several little fabric zippered bags to fit inside using fabric scraps and zippers reclaimed from old items. I used my sewing machine to stitch them into place so that they won't move. I purchased a pretty little girl hair elastic and use it to keep it closed. There is room for my calculator, eftpos card, drivers licence and medicare card as well as a section on the inside of both the front and back covers to hold receipts. The project only cost $1.50 to make.
